Experience

Brandon has worked in construction since graduating high school in 1993. First with surveying and then with a local utility contractor. Upon graduating college started full time as a project manager and estimator with the AVR Group, Inc., a highway-heavy contractor composed of several operating companies with offices in Wadesboro and Asheboro. Pursued work all over North & South Carolina ranging in scope from large highway construction, site development, landfills, stone base, paving, wetland mitigation, water, sewer, concrete work, hauling, to storm drain. Gained extensive training in estimating and project management during this time period. In 2004 Brandon went to work for AP AC-Atlantic, Inc. in the Concord office as a Project Manager and Estimator. Responsibility at the time including 65 million in backlog encompassing approximately 26 projects ranging from 30 million dollar highway projects to intersections improvements in both North & South Carolina. Seeking to return to water & sewer construction Brandon went to work with Propst Construction in October of 2005 becoming the project manager for the utility division eventually becoming the General Manager. Brandon has served as Chair for the Utility Division for the Carolinas AGC and is currently on the NCDOT Roadway Subcommittee.
