Larry began his career in construction working with his father, Ruby J. Harkey at Ray D. Lowder Construction Co. of Albemarle, NC in the 1960s. In 1972, Larry came to work with Propst Construction as an Operator/Foreman. Over the years, by way of exceptional work ethic, loyalty and extraordinary leadership skills, Larry rose from the rank, of Foreman to Vice President and General Superintendent of the Company. Larry is held in the highest regard not only by Propst Construction and the Propst family, but by his peers in the construction industry. Larry has been employed by Propst Construction for 42 years of continuous service.
