After more than 23 years of dedicated service, Propst Construction Company announces the retirement of David Spivey, who faithfully served as our Secretary/Treasurer from 2002 until his retirement in 2025.

David’s contributions to our company extend far beyond his title. Throughout his career, he helped shape the direction of Propst Construction with unwavering integrity, sound judgment, and exceptional leadership. His steady guidance was instrumental in navigating some of the most challenging periods in our company’s history, including the economic uncertainty of the 2008 recession, company changes, project difficulties, and employee needs. His attention to detail helped guarantee our success.

David possessed a rare ability to remain calm under pressure. No matter the challenge, he approached every decision with careful thought, thorough preparation, and remarkable wisdom. His intelligence, attention to detail, and commitment to doing things the right way earned the respect of everyone who had the privilege of working with him.

Perhaps even more important than his professional accomplishments was the person David was every day. He was dependable beyond measure—a friend you could always count on, a trusted advisor, and a tireless worker whose dedication never wavered. His quiet confidence and steady presence provided reassurance during difficult times and inspired those around him to be their best.

David leaves behind a legacy of excellence, leadership, and service that will continue to influence Propst Construction Company for many years to come. While we will certainly miss his daily presence, we are deeply grateful for the countless contributions he made and the lasting foundation he helped build.
